Cristiano Ronaldo scores controversial goal through a cloud of smoke as Al Nassr beats Al-Ahly 4-3

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice with his left foot as Al Nassr beat Al-Ahli 4-3 in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.

The 38-year-old has now scored 15 goals in 14 matches for Al Nassr this season.

Ronaldo's first  thing in Friday's game was  crazy and a little controversial.

This came in the fourth minute when he fired a shot through a cloud of smoke inside the Al-Ahly penalty area.

The smoke was the result of a pyrotechnic display before the match and meant that many fans – and probably also the Al-Ahly goalkeeper – could not see clearly when the ball rolled into the net.

The penalty area was filled with smoke after Cristiano Ronaldo scored to put Al Nassr 1-0 ahead in Friday's 4-3 win over Al-Ahly.

Talisca then scored two more goals in the first half, before Ronaldo scored again in the 52nd minute.

Al Nassr led 2–0, 3–1 and 4–2, but Al-Ahly reduced the deficit to one on three occasions with goals from Frank Kessie, Riyad Mahrez and Fares Albrikan.

Friday's win was Al Nassr's fifth consecutive league win and moved Ronaldo and Co. into fifth place ahead of Al-Ahly on goal difference.

Both teams are now three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad, who have 18 points from seven matches.  Al-Hilal are in second place with 17 points.

Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al Nassr and Al-Ahli are all owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and all four clubs invested heavily in new players during the summer transfer window.

Aymeric Laporte, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles and Otavio were among the summer signings for Al Nassr on Friday.

Al-Ahly's starting eleven was also filled with recent players, including players such as Mahrez, Kessie, Edouard Mendy, Allan Saint-Maximin, Gabry Veiga and Merih Demirel.
